And we know that it is never too late to start.<\/p>\n<p>The guiding relationship is a promise. &#8220;I promise that I will respond to your needs and respect you. In return, I will set safe boundaries to guide your growth.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Family members can learn how to mindfully guide children with challenges to overcome obstacles to growth and development by restoring a more natural normalized relationship we call the \u201cguided participation relationship\u201d. \u00a0Adults learn to use the activities of daily life to embed safe, but challenging experiences for the child. Children learn to respond in more flexible, thoughtful ways to novel, increasingly unpredictable settings and problems. Safety, trust and resilience emerge as children learn they can make more sense of our continually complex world. You will be taught the foundational reasons for your child\u2019s delay and how to help your child improve. You will receive an initial Relationship Development Assessment that will help you identify the \u201cedge of competence\u201d in your relationship with your child.\u00a0 Starting from this edge, you will be given strategies for guiding your child to develop \u201cdynamic intelligence\u201d and achieve new goals. \u00a0You will also receive admission to the RDI curriculum and learning platform, which typically has a subscription cost of $50\/month.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the initial 3-6 month period, you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have an RDA report detailing the \u2018edge of competence\u2019 in your guiding relationship with your child<\/li>\n<li>Know where to start with your child and understand your child\u2019s specific challenges<\/li>\n<li>Understand the purpose of the Guiding Relationship and the importance of Dynamic Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Understand the difference between limit setting vs controlling, and understand how to manage your child\u2019s behaviors (in the long term)<\/li>\n<li>Understand the importance of having a home life and daily routine that supports you and your child and know the strategies necessary to achieve this lifestyle<strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pre-homework:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete Intake Questionnaire<\/li>\n<li>Log into the RDI Platform and\u00a0Review Video Tutorials.<\/li>\n<li>Each parent submits a video explaining what they want to learn from RDI<\/li>\n<li>Submit a 3-5 minute video of your child in different routines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3 Month Curriculum:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Session 1: Making a Plan (contract)\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Session 2: Baseline Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Session 3: Intro to RDI\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Session 4: Remediation<\/li>\n<li>Session 5: Core Challenges<\/li>\n<li>Session 6: Communication<\/li>\n<li>Session 7: Dynamic Intelligence<\/li>\n<li>Session 8: Guiding Relationship<\/li>\n<li>Session 9: Co-Regulation<\/li>\n<li>Session 10: RDI Goals\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>RDA-1 Assessment<\/li>\n<li>RDA-2 Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Assessment Review<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>RDI Continual Support\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Welcome to the next step of developing a mindful guiding relationship with your child! \u00a0 You are ready to deepen your understanding as you learn to set activities and goals for your child, and you can move towards independence.
